Emergency Management Director Danny Townsend spoke with the Board of Supervisors regarding the county roadways system. The Director advised that the roadways need to be geo-coded for emergencies and search and rescue. Geo-coding is converting addresses into geographic coordinates.
Attala County Sheriff Tim Nail announced that officers are now wearing body cameras. "The decision was made to protect the citizens and also the deupties and to be used in court evidence", said Sheriff Nail.
The Board of Supervisors has followed Supt. Bryan Weaver's recommendation and approved the return of all Attala County School District Prinicpals for the 2016/2017 school year.
